Audio visual system integrator AVM has acquired VC World (trading as VC-NET), a provider of managed video services in the UK. This is AVM's seventh acquisition in the last six years.
This acquisition enhances AVM's managed videoconferencing and telepresence services by adding capacity and specialist networking skills. VC-NET also adds audio and web conferencing to AVM's portfolio.
VC-NET has been operating for 11 years providing audio and videoconferencing solutions to a UK blue chip client base.
Sandy MacPherson, AVM's Chairman, commented: "VC-NET's experience and resources in both networking and conferencing will complement our AVM Connect services and allow us to offer complete unified communications solutions to our clients."
Chris Wade VC-NET Executive Chairman, added: "AVM is a natural choice for VC-NET's evolution. AVM's greater scale and AV Global Alliance enables our customers to fully realise our ambitions for our managed video services which has had such a tremendous take up since its launch in autumn last year."
