Audio Visual Machines Ltd (AVM) designed a secure communications room for BP called the Smart Centre, with a nine-screen video wall for real-time monitoring of its IT infrastructure. The system allows for PC, DVD, VHS and TV source distribution and playback through the video wall and sound system. The Smart Centre staff can monitor the performance of BP's data environment 24 hours a day, looking for system failures and faults within the IT infrastructure. If they find a fault they can immediately deploy the necessary resources to find a solution.
AVM also installed their meeting room fitted out with a Polycom videoconferencing system, two plasma screens and audio speakers.
